IMMEDIATE ADHD, SLD, ASD, & IDD ASSESSMENT AVAILABILITY

PROCESS AND FEES SUMMARY

PROCESS:

PECS now has seven full-time Psychologists conducting assessments daily, and as such has immediate availability for ADHD, Specific Learning Disorder (SLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Intellectual Developmental Disorder (IDD) assessments.

PECS also commits to having the written report completed within 10 working days from the day of the assessment, so the whole assessment process is completed in a timely fashion.

Furthermore, as a standard operating procedure, immediately following the assessment, the PECS psychologist will provide the client/parents with a full feedback session of all the checklist and testing results so that they are aware of the outcome of the assessment on the day of testing and can be acting on our recommendations even before the written report is received. 

Also of note is that we do a full ADHD assessment for free as part of our SLD assessments due to the high level of comorbidity between the two disorders. 

PECS has connections with numerous Paediatricians/Child Psychiatrists, which allows a client assessed at PECS to see a Medical Specialist in only 2-6 weeks for ADHD diagnosis/treatment and/or confirmation of an Autism diagnosis.

Please also be aware that PECS has a Clinical Psychologist and an Educational & Developmental Psychologist on staff who can do ‘ASD Diagnostic Confirmations’ of Autism assessments already carried out by a Medical Specialist. We aim to turn these around within 10 days of receipt of the existing ASD assessment report.

FEES:

PECS assessments are provided at set fees to ensure no surprises; and attract Private Health and Medicare rebates: 

WISC or WAIS only cognitive assessment: = $895

Autism Confirmation Assessment: = $995

ADHD Assessment: = $1495

IDD Assessment: = $1495

SLD (if ADHD already diagnosed) or SLD & ADHD Assessment: = $1995

Autism Assessment: = $2995

Autism & ADHD Assessment: = $3195

Autism & ADHD & SLD Assessment: = $3795

PECS has always deliberately kept the cost of our assessments in the lower quartile of the current industry rate and due to the very real current cost-of-living-crisis has made the decision not to increase our fees at the start of this financial year thus preserving the fee charged in 2025. 

One of our pet hates here at PECS is when money gets in the way of someone accessing the assessment that they need. If the cost of an assessment is creating a barrier for you, please give reception a ring on 9388 8044 and they will be happy to put in place a tailored payment plan for you that you can manage.

QUALITY OF SERVICE:

Please do not interpret our immediate availability and deliberate provision of lower quartile industry fees as an indication of a lower quality service.

PECS has conducted more than 15,000 assessments in the past 26 years and has maintained an average 5-star Google Review rating from a massive 300+ Google Reviews. There is no one else with over 200 reviews with a comparable Google rating to PECS as far as we are aware.
